  1. SS to 2B to 1B

  2. short to second to first.

  3. it means ,ground ball to lowrie, he flips to pedroia, pedroia throws to youk, 6-4-3 double play.   SOX WIN

  4. Who's on first?

    I Don't Know  - third base!

  5. Shortstop to second to first.

    1-P

    2-C

    3-1B

    4-2B

    5-3B

    6-SS

    7-LF/RF

    8-CF

    9-RF/LF

  6. Shortstop(6) to Second Basemen(4) to First Basemen(3).

    This doesn't necessarily mean that the play is made at those bases, although that is by far the most common occurance.  It only means that those are the position players who made the putouts.  Technically, it could have been some kind of a run down situation, but usually, it is just a ground ball to the shortstop.

  7. The numbers represent the positions on a baseball field:

    1-Pitcher

    2-Catcher

    3-Firstbaseman

    4-Secondbaseman

    5-Thirdbaseman

    6-Short Stop

    7-Left Field

    8-Center Field

    9-Right Field

    So a 6-4-3 is Shortstop to secondbaseman to firstbaseman.

  8. the numbers are the number of the position player.

    1-pitcher

    2-catcher

    3-first base

    4 second base

    5-third base

    6 shortstop

    7-left field

    8 center field

    9-right field.

    6-4-3 means a groundball went from the ss to the 2B to the 1B.  usually a double play. F8 would be flyout.  K is a strikeout.  BB is base on balls (walk), 5-3 would be a groundout to the 3B.

    its just how you keep score in a scorebook

  9. 6-4-3 double play is a scorecard way of saying a double play in which it is grounded to the SS who flips it to the 2baseman who throws it to 1st for the double play

    1-P

    2-C

    3-1b

    4-2b

    5-3b

    6-SS

    7-LF

    8-CF

    9-RF

  10. Like the others said, it's how you write it down if you had a scorecard for the game. You list everyone who touches the ball in the order they touch it: 6-4-3 is Shortstop to Second Base to First Base.

    1 = Pitcher

    2 = Catcher

    3 = First Base

    4 = Second Base

    5 = Third Base

    6 = Shortstop

    7 = Left Field

    8 = Center Field

    9 = Right Field

    Other examples would be a left fielder throwing out a runner at home, with the shortstop making a relay throw - that would be 7-6-2. The numbers are also elsewhere in scoring, for example errors...if the shortstop boots one you, it will be scored as E6.

  11. it means that this happened..

    the ball got grounded to the shorstop, and he tossed the ball to the second basemen, and the second basemen threw it to the first basemen to complete the double play.

  12. On a 6-4-3 double play, the shortstop (6) throws to the second baseman (4), and he throws to first base (3).

    1 - Pitcher

    2 - Cather

    3 - First Base

    4 - Second Base

    5 - Third base

    6 - Shortstop

    7 - Left Field

    8 - Center Field

    9 - Right Field

  13. 1-Pitcher

    2-Catcher

    3-First Baseman

    4-Second Baseman

    5-Third Baseman

    6-Short Stop

    7-Left Fielder

    8-Center Fielder

    9-Right Fielder

    so a 6-4-3 double play would mean that the hitter hit the ball to the Short Stop who then threw it to the Second Baseman, who then threw it to the First Baseman.  This is the most common double play in the game of baseball. The 4-6-3 is the second most common.

  14. Shortstop:6

    2nd Base:4

    1st base:3

    In that order

    Probably the most common double play.
