  1. its the best tasting thing in the world.

  2. To those that think lobster isn't boiled or steamed alive, they certainly are!  There may be some places where they are put in cold rooms first, but this isn't the norm.  Look at places like Red Lobster or even your local grocery where they will steam the lobster for you.  You pick the lobster and 5-10 minutes later the little guy is staring at you from the bag or plate.  Unless someone is cooling them down enough to put them to 'sleep' in a minute or two or there's anesthesiologist on staff that lobster is getting cooked up while fully alert.

  3. It tasets like chicken Bagqck

  4. i'm yet to try lobster but i imagine it'd taste like crab?
Also, lobster's aren't technically boiled alive. They are put into a cold room for about 6-12 hours so that their metabolism slowly slows down to the point where they drift off to sleep and just never wake up again. Only then are they boiled, by the time they hit the water they have no idea that it's happening.

  5. to those above saying you don't eat lobster because it's boiled alive.. shellfish are all boiled while they are still alive. for example, if you have a batch of fresh clams they need to be steamed or shucked and eaten raw before they die or they can make you sick, possibly poisoning and killing you. one of the reasons why Muslims don't eat shellfish - in the earlier days of the religion coming together, shellfish and pork were the two most deadly foods one could eat if not prepared or cared for correctly.

most frozen seafood bought at a seafood store (frozen crab legs, scallops, etc.) are boiled as soon as they are caught, then flash frozen to maintain the cooked in flavor of the original saltiness of the ocean. killing animals are one way we eat so its best to eat them when it's the freshest!

lobster is awesome if you like seafood but it can be hit-or-miss if you're not a fan of seafood and it depends on the preparation - just straight lobster out of the shell, with pasta, in a chowder, etc. the best preparation is boiled, eaten with some butter and maybe a squeeze of lemon if you like lemon on your seafood (i don't unless it's a hint of it with white fish or salmon). my g/f loves shrimp, crab and salmon but doesn't really like clams or lobster that much so it can be personal preference. i'd say definitely go for it.

lobster is a luxury to us in these modern times but in the American slavery times, many slaves revolted against their masters and demanded to be fed lobster NO MORE than 3 times a week because in certain parts of the country, it was plentiful and cheap to feed them with.
