What does local pickup mean?

In this case local pick up means you don't want the item shipped.  You plan to go to the store and pick it up.  Yep you messed up you're going to have to contact the company and straighten it out.

I assume you mean General Delivery where the sender sends it to a PO by zip code and the recipient can pick it up with photo ID.

Or a seller may only allow you to pick-up an item directly from him (he will not mail).

You talking about ebay? It means you have to go get it from the seller.

If you checked Local Pickup, you agreed to get it from their physical address. If it is in another state, you shouldn't have checked Local Pickup. You should have selected a delivery method. Sorry, but this is your mistake. You should call them and arrange for/pay for a different method of delivery or ask them for a refund.

they say local because no one wants to drive 7 hours to pick up something. so its called LOCAL pickup!

well its not my fault that you were dumb enough to check local pickup on something that is in another state!!!!!! what makes you think that they would send it to the post office and not deliver it.....talk about some one not having common sense.
