  1. That's odd.....you should call the hospital you were born at.

Were you adopted? I know that when we offically adopt our boys, the birth parents names will be taken off of the certificate and replaced with our names.

  2. well that is not good did they adopt u

  3. Is that the real one from the State or on of the "pretty" ones issued from the hospital?   The hospitals use to give one that wasn't offical.  Check and see if it has a State Seal on it, which must be raised, if not you might want to find the real one.

  4. your doctor may simply have left it off when filing your birth information with the states vital records division.  You can probably get this corrected if you can find your file from when you were born and just submit it to the Vital Records office in your state.  Your mom most likely has your dos name.  Get it and go to the hospital you were born at.  you may have also been born en route in which case they wouldn't have this info.  Good luck and at least call vital records.  They may have the info and you just don't have the right birth certificate.  There are many different types.

  5. A birth certificate has your mother and father name and the state they were born in. It should have a seal on it which tells what state you were born. I will also state your bithdate but thats it.

  6. You don't exist.

  7. um thats not good.

  8. Are their spots for this info that was just left blank? Two of my children do not have this info either, but there is not a place to put it either.

Both are amended birth certificates. One is adopted and one was to add his father's name after the original was issued.

So, don't panic yet...there could be a bazillion reasons!

  9. You have a fake birth certificate just like me.   Also known as an 'Amended Birth Certificate'.   It's all lies and our true identitiy is sealed away.   Shhhhhhhh - adoption is the witness protection program, didn't you know?!! and adoptees are official suspects of people who may 'upset someone' perhaps, and we need to be restrained without due cause.

If I were you I'd attempt to apply for a 'long form' birth certificate which may give you a few more crumbs of info about yourself.   What you have right now may be the 'short form'

  10. you're a ghost ..

  11. It means that it is likely a false certificate.  Even abandoned babies get birth certificates that would include a birth date (estimated) and what hospital the baby was brought to as a birth place.

My birth certificate was incorrectly filled out, corrected incorrectly by the state, and then finally corrected correctly.   I ended up having to use my baptismal certificate for a proof of identity because the correction was the city of birth.  However, yours is more of a problem because it doesn't have where you were born at all.

[edited to add]  I must disagree with another poster.  If born at home, the home address is always included as place of birth as well as the date.  Time is also included if the parent knows, if not, they skip it.  I know MANY people born at home including 3 siblings and this information is included.

  12. It can be one of 3 things:  Either you were adopted, and the information contained there is not put on your birth certificate because it is identifying information, or

2:  You were born at home, and since the information was not officially recorded, by official time clocks and scales, it isn't considered authentic, or

3:  You were abandoned as a baby, and the information simply isn't known of how old you were, where you were born, etc.
