  1. Winning games period, road or home as long as they can win

  2. Both help.  I think that winning on the road can do more for a team though.  You're expected to win at home..which a lot of teams do.  Big wins on the road aren't as expected, a lot of the time. So getting those road wins can do more for a team.

  3. Winning anywhere is great, but I'd say winning on the road does more for a team's confidence. It shows you that you can persevere through adversity. When almost everyone around you is telling you how bad you are and how much you stink, winning shows that you can get through that and tell the fans that they can shove it. One of the best examples I can think of is the '96 Yankees. They lost the first two games of the World Series at home to the Braves. They got blown out and almost everyone was counting them out. They won the next three games, all in Atlanta and then ended it at home at Yankee Stadium. Once the Yankees went up 3-2, I knew the Yankees were taking it at home.

  4. Great pitching and great defense.  If you have those two elements the hitting will take care of itself.  This will result in winning much more than losing.  That's the greatest of all confidence builders.

  5. just winning and feeling good and chemistry. u cant win and feel good wen ur a second baseman n have to throw to first to the guy u hate personally.

  6. Winning on the road.

Because a majoirty of teams will do better on the home field easily, but when you can win on the road as well, you feel that you can win anywhere.
