  1. I'd say it means use more leg, my horse used to do it and i was told i had to have a very steady and reasonably firm hand and lots of legs.

    hope that helps

  2. Moulding your legs is to have a better, closer contact with your horse - to help aid this, you could have a couple of lunge lessons so you have only to concentrate on your position, by doing exercises and someone else controls the horse.

One way is to take your knees and lower leg away from the saddle and find your seat bones.  Then still feeling the seat bones lower your legs and almost try and touch the horses back hooves with your legs to make them longer and more moulded around the horse.

When I was teaching, I would have called it wrapping your legs around the horse.  Neither of these terms means gripping.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Yes it just means keep firm contact instead of constantly kicking, most RS horses become almost numb to the kick as thats all they get from the riders !

  4. i would think that it means squeeze your legs because molding to the shape of your horse but i would ask your riding instructor just to be sure.

  5. to keep your legs around the side of him so you have a good contact

  6. it just means keep your legs on,keep kicking to keep him going cause if he throws his head around and dips it he may try n buck!so she just means keep kicking instead of just one kick

  7. it literally mean mould your leg to the horse, and just give him firm nudges, rather than big kicks which horses tend to become 'dead' too.

there are lots of slightly different meanings so it would be best to ask your instructor what she means by this.

    good luck!
