  1. Ask the preschool.  The requirements of all preschools everywhere are probably not the same.

Generally, some numbers, colors, letters, and shapes are a good start.  He should also be toilet trained.

  2. nuthin h**l learn there

  3. Every child learns at their own pace anyway.  Since it will be his first year, they usually focus on getting the child to like school and learning to adapt to structure.

Shapes, colors and some numbers and letters is a good start.

Practice having him sit and do an activity for 10 minute intervals to help build attention span.

Make sure he's potty trained completely and knows how undress and dress himself in the bathroom.

    Can hold a crayon, scissors.

Eats with a spoon/fork, drinks from a cup.

  4. He has to know how to speek andunderstand simple words

  5. Maybe he should learn how to spell before, so he can teach you.

  6. .HELLO FOR THE SON.HOW  TO HAVE FUN & SMILE, LAUGH . PLAY & MAKE FRIENDS. THE REST WILL COME WE DID IT ALL AND SURVIED.

ALL PARENTS WORRY MORE THAN THE CHILD. I THINK THE PARENTS & GRANDPARENTS NEED HELP TO PERPARE THEMSELVES FOR THAT DAY. JUST KEEP BUSY IT WORKS. A NEW HAIR CUT OR TEA WITH OTHER PARENTS. GOOD LUCK. OH YES IF YOUR OK THEY WILL BE TOO THEY FEEL YOUR FEELING REMEMBER . BE POSTIVE KIND REGARDS

  7. That's not bad to begin with.  Just keep on with basic colors, shapes, ryhmes and ABCs.

  8. Academically, I wouldn't worry about anything for your basic preschool, he'll learn to do that type of stuff there although it wouldn't hurt to give him a head start at home.

Other then that you should prepare him for preschool by talking about it, reading books to him about going to school and showing him the preschool that he will be going to beforehand.  You should also make sure he knows basic manners, clean up and how to share with other children.  Make sure he knows to tell the teacher when he has to go to the washroom and how to put on his clothes, etc.  Ask your preschool if they have certain requirements.

  9. Every preschool can have different requirements. They should have told you at registration if they have certain expectations. Usually, requirements are along the lines of self-help skills: toileting, coat, shoes. It helps if children know how to use things like crayons and scissors as well as being able to recognize their own name in print. All the things you mentioned are things he will learn in preschool.

Actually, the requirements I mentioned above are the requirements for kindergarten at my dd's school and her school is #1 in our province. For preschool, there were no requirements or expectations at all except for being able to use the toilet independently.

You can help him prepare for the academic skills you mentioned by giving him opportunities to use crayons, scissors, pencils, etc., by reading to him frequently, and by talking about the words, shapes, and numbers you see and use in everyday life.

  10. As hes starting pre school. It doesnt really matter how much he knows. If you want him to do well maybe cut out some shapes from card get him to feel the edges and tell him the name of the  shape. try and get him to repeat it if he does maybe you could reward him with a sweet or give him a sticker so he knows that you proud of him give him alot of praise so that he will want to learn. With regaurd to his ABC's maybe a poster with the letters on that could be stuck to his bed room wall get him to sing the song then tell im to say abc and so on.maybe you could teach him in stages( abc. defg. etc.) once again praising him if hes good.

Try and read to him a story before bed time or throughout the day so that he gets used to words.

The most important thing is not to bore him maybe only teach him for 5-10 mins. He'll come on great it no time.  If hes playing try not to interupt him as it shows good development a good opportunity to teach with him is when hes bored! but i wouldnt worry too much. the most important thing is that hes smiling and having fun!

    Hope i helped
