What does my Russian Dwarf Hamster have?

Question

I was playing with my less than a year old Russian Dwarf Hamster(Winnie) this morning and I noticed that near his leg and butt he has a patch of missing fur. I've looked up all possibilities and he doesn't have any other symptoms. So I don't think it's Mange or Mites. I wanted to be sure. i think the cause is probably down to dry skin.

it has probably been like this but worse and the hair is now growing back.

but i imagine he had a complete bold patch.

i think he will be fine, best to leave him and see hat happens

If you aren't sure what is wrong with him it is worth getting a vet to take a look.

Your hamster might have fleas or a little irritation on his skin so you might want to go to a vet or a pet shop to see how to get ride of this problem.

How old is your hamster? Sometimes hamsters start to lose fur as they get old.
