My perscription is R -125 -075 -160 and L -125 -075 - 180. I got a trail pair of accuvue for astigmatisum and I hate them. there fine for the first 2 or 3 hours then they become very dry and uncomfortable. And no matter how much eye drops I put they stay dry. I mean is it my eyes or is it the contacts ?

  1. As already said, short-sightedness of 1.25Din both eyes and astigmatism of -0.75D. (Combined in the centre of the cylinder the power is -2.00D) The other numbers (-160 and -180) are the degrees showing which way the astigmatism is and therefore which angle to put the cylindrical aspect of the lens.

  2. Sounds like you need to be trying another brand.

Those Acuvue for astigmatism cause problems for a lot of people. Either bad optics, poor comfort or drying out fast.

I don't even fit them at my office anymore. Over half the patients we give trials to don't like them at all...

So, you are not alone...it's not you...it's the contacts.

  3. u have short sightness of -125 and astigstism of about -0.75. maybe u r not suitable for contacts
