What does my friend need to do now?

He's an immigrant follow his dad to the US because his dad married this woman, and now when they're about to take the Citizenship test, she wont give them her documents like driver license and other stuff and she refuse to do anything for them. She doesnt even let them use the computer so im asking for him. Is there anything they can do? convincing her doesnt work.

She is under no obligation to give them any of her documents.  There's no reason for her to do so.  No one can use them but her.  He doesn't need them for the citizenship test.

You need to be a bit clearer about what you are asking.You are jumping from 'he' to 'them' and 'her' without any explanation.Whose driving licence are you talking about? Are his dad and the woman still together or not? Is she an American citizen?Who is taking the citizenship test? What is the age of your friend? If he is not related to the woman, why does he want documents from her? Did she sponsor him?

If your friend entered on a visa and it is still valid he can apply for a green card since he is 18.

If they entered illegally their is nothing he can do.

Once his dad gets citizenship he can sponsor his son.
