What does my insurance company need to know?

I want to let my insurance company know that I will be driving a car home from a private sale, when I call them up what sort of information about the car will they need to know?

If your are adding the vehicle to your policy they would need to know the year, make and model and the VIN.

They will also need to know what kind of coverages you want. Liability only, comprehensive and collision, rental/towing, etc

You will have 30 days to add the vehicle to  your policy after it is purchased.
