What does my snake dream mean?

Question

I had a dream were there were lots of snakes, large and small. I was running away from them but when I was cornered by 1 snake I immediately grabbed it at its throat and suffocated the snake. It was a long process and several times the snake started breathing again n finally I cut the snake's body off. what does ds mean?

It was a one off dream. I've never had such dreams before.

A large part of the dream is within the boundaries of the Eodipus Complex Theory by Freud. You will be surprised. Particularly about the symbols of snakes.

Bad news.  Enemies nearby.  Beware.  Your friends or some of them do not wish you well.  You are surrounded by persons of wicked intent.  One will attempt to harm you but as you've not been hurt in the dream, likewise you s/he will not harm you.  Beware though.

Snakes often denote change or transmutation.  Are there some changes going on right now that aren't very comfortable?
