  1. 2012 has nothing to do with it.

  2. They mean something to people who want to worry about nothing...

  3. It translates to:  gibberish, gibberish, gibberish....buy my book....gibberish, gobberish, gibberish....

  4. Niburu (Planet X) doesn't exist. Zecharia Sitchin is an author of books promoting the ancient astronaut theory for human origins. He attributes the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Annunaki (or Nephilim) from a hypothetical planet named Nibiru in the solar system. The Doomsayers predicted that it was to hit Earth in 2003. Undaunted when it didn't show up, they just moved it out to 2012 to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar.

I've never decided for sure how all the crop circles are created.  We had two hoaxers who admitted it, but there must be others, since they have appeared in many places.

Doug Bower had visited Australia where he had seen media reports of the Tully UFO incident, in which a circular imprint had been left in the reedy swampland from which a flying saucer had been seen taking off. In 1978, when he was back in England, Doug was down the pub one night with his mate Dave Chorley. As they were walking home together, Doug told Dave about what he had heard. They agreed it would be a bit of a laugh if they a created a flying saucer-like indentation in the crop fields to see what kind of reaction they could get. So they did.

This was the beginning of the crop circle phenomenon. Over the years Doug and Dave continued to churn out the circles and, gradually, a whole industry of experts began to develop around it. People would write books about crop circles, deliver lectures on crop circles, and pontificate in every form of media known to man about what they believed lay behind the phenomenon.

Controversy about crop circles continues. Even today, more than fifteen years after Doug and Dave confessed to hoaxing the whole thing, some continue to believe that crop circles have a mystical significance and a possibly extra-terrestrial origin.

    As for 2012

No disaster, no Planet X, no photon belt, no polar reversal, no galactic alignment;  but we will have the winter solstice, which ends this cycle of the Mayan calendar, while our calendar ends on the 31st.  But since we are still here to issue a new one for 2013, while the Mayans aren't, we will  be finishing our Christmas shopping.

  5. The fictitious planet Nibiru came out of a weak translation of old Sumerian texts (thousands of years old) by a translator who had a "vivid imagination".

According to the story he created during the translation, Nibiru would come back in 2085 (or later) and the inhabitants would come here and claim "their" gold (according to him, we are their slaves and we are supposed to be mining gold for them).

Some people (with books and videos to sell on how to survive the end of the world) have hijacked Nibiru.  They claimed it was coming back in 2003.  When it failed to come back (not surprising, since it is not a real planet), they "revised" their books so that their version of Nibiru could participate in the Big 2012 Hoax Off.

Since the theme of the Big 2012 Hoax Off is the end of the world, they invented all kinds of ways that Nibiru could cause the end of the world (none of them are believable, based on science).

Based on past experience, they are already hedging their bets by saying that come of the effects could be in 2013 instead of 2012...

They will continue to invent lies about Nibiru in the hope that one will scare you enough to buy their book.

    ---

Crop circles are known to be hoaxes.  They are made by Earthlings.  This has been known for a few decades now.

They do look very nice, I must admit.  Some of them should be classed as works of arts.

    ---

2012 was proclaimed the year of the Big 2012 Hoax Off, when someone discovered that an old mesoamerican day-count calendar (used mostly by Mayan astronomers, not by the common people) will pass from one "Long Count" to another.  A bit like our own calendar going from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000.

Because a "Long Count" lasts over 5000 years, these things do not happen very often.  The day on which the next count begins is the day of Winter Solstice which, for the Mayans (and most of the early civilizations in the northern hemisphere) is New Years Day.  This is not a coincidence.

Also, the solstice position will appear to be in the thickest past of the Milky Way (what we call the Galactic equator).  Also not a coincidence, since the calendar was planned that way.

But, to our astrologers, always willing to find "magical" moments in the sky, it means the start of a new Age (and it could have meant the same to the Mayans when their civilization still flourished -- they would have planned great festivities for that particular New Year's Day).

After a few "New Age" predictions, the hoaxers got into the act and transformed the whole thing into the Big 2012 Hoax Off.

As we get closer, we'll get more and more lies, and more predictions of end-of-the-world.

    All false, of course.

  6. Alright, I am just sick of people getting afraid of the so- called "final year" 2012. First of all the year 2012 marks the end of the 13th Baktun Cycle for the mayan people. On Dec. 21, 2012, the current one will end and a new (#14) Baktun Cycle will begin.

The last time a Baktun Cycle ended was on Sep.18, 1618, now ask yourself this: did any catastrophic event happen in 1618?, nope.

Whenever we are going through bad times and such, people tend to say that the endtimes are comming, and thus look for reasons to make books so they can support themselves & their lifestyle, so they live off of people's fear.

You know what, right now I'm just gonna prove all of the other end of times lies wrong right now.

As for the so-called "bible code" goes, it predicts that an astroid will destroy the earth in 2012, well that same book (later made into a t.v. show) predicted the world would end on 2006, well here we are in 2008, no end times or nothing,

More recently, the author, Michael Drosnin has refrained from making concrete predictions, saying, "I don't think the code makes predictions. I think it reveals probabilities."

Now there are many websites telling people that in the bible it says that we are in the final times and so on. Well since I have seen all of this and read the book of revealation, I must say It is a good scare, but most likely untrue.

Most theologians (people that study the bible) say that the "beast" is used to describe Emperor Nero o for his persecuting of early christians , scholars have found that the number 666 is refered to Nero In Hebrew gematria, every letter has a corresponding number. Summing these numbers gives a numeric value to a word or name. The Greek spelling, “Neron Caesar,” transliterates into Hebrew as “נרון קסר” or “nrwn qsr”. Adding the corresponding values yields 666.

Aliens will come to visit and destroy us? hahahaha, please dont make me laugh with this one, most of the authors that have written ths are either high or just crazy. One guy, Riley Martin says that aliens will come and take us to a "better place" but in order to get there we MUST buy one of his symbols that the aliens have made for us.

What do we have here? Another load of lies, didn't the cult Heavens Gate say something similar back in the 90's? They ended up killing themselves to "get on the ship" that will take them somewhere else. Also, notice how you must BUY a symbol to get in the ship, on May 24, 2006 he called the Howard Stern Show DEMANDING more money and using foul and anti-semetic terms to describe Howard. The same thing happened on Jul. 31, 2006.

Remember me saying that these guys are probably high? On Jul. 17 2007, Riley revealed that he spent two and a half years in prison for having 611 pounds of marijuana in his pickup truck, among other charges. This guy was born in 1946, so durring the psychadelic drug movement he was probably in his 20's and that stuff he was smokin' on probably got to his head.

Many other ex-hippies take out book saying that in 2012 we will be visited by aliens called the "wazzlacops" or the "Teprillians" or something like that, dont you wonder what they are doing when they are writing the book?

Our next next topic that claims that all of these events happening now are leading to the apocalypse or the end of the world. Ok, I know that right now we are in pretty bad times, but we get through it, always have, always will, hurricane Katrina happened in 2005, and it could have gone WAY better if fema was prepared and on call.

Rising costs and recession? Nothing new, this thing we are experiencing now? It's happened:

    January-July 1980 and July 1981-November 1982: 2 years

    July 1990-March 1991: 8 months

(which ended with the election of a new president)

    November 2001-November 2002: 12 months

The one in the 80's was the worst , and was it was due to high energy costs. Unenployment & more crime was the result of that. The same thing again happened in 2001-2002, and trust me, it will happen again. High food prices are a result of global warming, which if we start cutting our energy (which we are all starting to do) it wont kill us.

Now for Iran, N.Korea and WW3, you see many people have dubbed Iran's president as the anti-christ and so on. If Iran did form an alliance with Russia and China (highly unlikely) we would in turn form our own alliance of equal or greater size and supress their power.

This would lead to the so-called WW3, but if this did happen, just like in WW2 our country will start producing things like crazy, and we will get out of our current recession (WW2 took us out of the great depression and made us a superpower). We will eventually defeat whoever with better technology. And by the way most of China's economy depends on the west (exporting goods)

N.Korea? Well they are starting to disarm all of their nuclear production and become more public.

And eventually just like the dodo and leg-warmers, as the middle east gets better leaders, "holy war" or jihad will become a thing of the past and we will all work togther on various issues.

Planet X does not exisit, and something that is simmilar to Planet X is Pluto (the real planet X) or one of its moons. The planet Nibiru also does not exist as there is no scientific proof on it. Also the man who claimed that there was a Planet X (Robert Harrington) died without ever finding it.

Government conspiracy writers that say that a NWO (New World Order) is being established by president bush and the royal family might convince you, but notheing more than lies. Either A.) They have no life B.) They lost their job C.) A teen or teens trying to scare everyone D.) Someone who is mad at the government.

Basicly thats all I have to say on this, and Remember:

"All we have to fear is fear itself"~FDR

  7. mean people suck

just about everyone that goes on about how you and your six-year-old daughter and her pet hamster will die in 2012 are mean.

    don't be mean.

(and if you are one of the rare ones that really believe this garbage, Brent is having a BBQ over at his house where he will explain how its all not true.  I'm bringing the potato salad.)

  8. They clearly mean they need to be locked in the happy hotel, as Nibiru is a false planet, not a star.  And the fact that they relate it to the mayan calender is an example of how insane they truely are.  THere is plenty of occurances in 2012, one that I am most excited for is the London Olympics and my 21st birthday.  However, I really doubt the world will change in any way in 2012.

  9. In my opinion, it's all just a bunch of made-up theories to scare people and get them riled up. I've never heard of a real planet or star named "Nibiru", from an at least reliable source. If this so-called planet/star thing was really coming to kill us all, we'd have known a long, long time ago. There would be much more *real* and accurate coverage, as well.

As far as crop circles go, I don't think they have any relation to the 2012 doomsday thing. All this just makes no sense to me.
