What does noise level mean in camera?

I just started looking into cameras to buy and i don't understand when they say the noise level is high or low.what does it mean.also i've been looking into the camera kodak z712 would that be an alright camera to use to take pictures of items that i want to sell on ebay? i know there are more expensive ones but $ 150 would be my budget for right now or do you suggest a lesser value camera? please help.

Number 1.   The noise level refers to the graininess that will occur

         on your images.    

Number 2.  If you have a budget of $150. check on the lower priced

          Sony digitals to avoid lots of headaches.

ISO refers to the light sensitivity of the sensor. Higher= more noise. Often, this is due to manufactures cramming the most possible pixels in a sensor. Noise may be described as 'graininess' or 'dots'. Most compact camera has relatively poor high iso performance, especially something that costs 150. A camera phone may be something you'll be looking for. It offers internet surfing, gps, phone calls, texting, and of course, photo taking! Or you can save up and buy something decent, like higher-end panasonic compacts or superzooms.

Noise refers to the grainyness of the image. Noise is not a good thing so the least amount of noise is best. With point and shoot cameras you tend to get alot more noise because of the tiny size of the sensors. The best way to reduce noise is to always shoot at the lowest possible ISO. Some p&s cameras will allow you to adjust the ISO and some wont.

It means it is picking up alot of or not much sound. and any camera will do for ebay - 3 megapixels or more - just get a cheap camera like this = http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-PowerShot-SD30...
