OC = "original character", that author of fanfiction has inserted into the story. This character typically doesn't exist in the work that the fanfic is being based on.

AU = "alternate universe", where the story is NOT exactly as it was in the book/movie. It could be another state, time period, plannet, etc.

Just for good measure, OOC = "out of character", when someone tweaks the main characters from the original work too much, often to the point where it annoys the reader. I hope I was able to help, and enjoy your fanfic reading!

I don't read the fan fiction but I would guess that AU means author unknown?
