What does offline mode mean? and is it fixable?

i have a sprint m300 phone that was dipped in water. when all hope was gone the phone suddenly turned back on and "offline mode" showed on the screen. all the games and even the camera work properly but i havnt been able to make a phone call. any ideas on how to make it work??

The phone may be stuck in "flight mode", or the cellular radio is bad.
