  1. Organic refers to the way a good is produced. Many products today are enhanced with chemical fertilizers, modified genetically, or preserved with food additives. Organic farmers refuse to take any of these actions. Instead, they focus on growing and raising goods in a natural, environment-friendly atmosphere. They do not add chemicals or preservatives to their products.

  2. A good and natural product

  3. By me its more expensive

  4. First poster has it right, but watch out for foods labeled "Organic" that don't really fit the bill. The USDA and FDA ruled that certain farming and production practices could be considered organic, even though the depart very strongly from the original intent of organic farmers in the late 60s/early 70s. Heavy lobbying from major food manufacturers forced these changes, so, as always, caveat emptor.
