  2. my husband and inlaws always expect a huge breakfast buffet - which the Germans are famous for in Europe each morning.

We always have tea, coffee, orange juice, milk

different cereals, quark, yoghurt and milk

    selection of breads and breadrolls

    platter with jams and honey

    a platter with coldcuts

    a platter with cheese

scrambled egg with smoked salmon, capers and onions

    a fruit basket

cut veggies (eg. tomato-mozarella salat, cucumber slices, peber fruit etc.

We don't eat Nutella but many German families do.

On sundays we also have bacon and eggs and pancakes.

It is a lot of work and I find it excessive, but what can I do my husband grew up that way and we just do it. Often we safe the different platters and just add on top it each day as needed.

  3. Fresh baked soft rolls and the best cheese you can imagine. Also on the table, steak tartar and liverwurst. Both are so good there. When we got home to the USA the liverwurst doesn't taste the same. Also, there is no comparason for the cheese.

  4. I am a native german, living in the US now for 2.5 years.

My mom and I always had the whole breakfasttable full with lunchmeat, Jams, Cheese, Nutella.

Sometimes on the weekends we ate scrambled eggs with bread, or we made a fruitsalat.

    Enjoy....

  5. weinerschnitzel!!

  6. different kinds of breads cheeses and meats

  7. Cheese and ham rolls.......
