  1. Yes, not photoshopping means that the photographer is so skilled that they get it right in the camera ... no mistakes they have to "fix" later.

  2. Krysty K needs to be informed a little more and watch less E TV. Celebrities do not use the program like you claim. I would find it hard to believ that any celebrity actually knows how to use Photoshop.

In any case, it not just for editing images either. It is for creating. It was actually created for the movie industry to create animation. It has evolved into a photographers tool. Sure you edit photos with but you can alter imagges with it. Put a person from one picture into another so it looks like you had your picture taken with a celebrity. You can remove wrinkles around your eyes, red eye, closed eyes. The list is endless.

Just know that it is a powerful tool, that's why it cost so much.

  3. Photoshopping an image is when you edit it, to make it look nicer. Sometimes, when someone has not used photoshop to edit an image, they explain that they haven't edited it. That's why they say "i did not photoshop".

  4. photoshop?

its a very advanced program you can buy

and its basicly just for editing photos.

all the celeberties use it and stuff.

its like magic, you can take litterally the ugliest person and make them beautiful

although, a lot of peopole don't like it becuase it makes people look so fake.

    xDD

  5. Adobe Photo Shop is an image editing program.  Now people just mistakenly say "photoshop" generically for everything, but the real name Photoshop refers to a specific program.

By the way, Photoshop does NOT make pictures "nicer."  It can be used to edit images and make slight improvement to pictures, such as improving contrast or color saturation.  But the best pictures are the ones that were taken right the first time, with the CAMERA.  The most experienced photographers do NOT edit their pictures on Photoshop or any program.  The key is to get the right lighting and the right exposure the first time, with your camera.  Sure, you could use Photshop to completely change the picture and add special effects...but that's not photography.

In fact, most people completely overdo it and over manipulate their pictures on the computer...to the point that they don't look real anymore.  That's not real photography.  That might be graphics arts, but it's not photography.

If someone says "they did not use Photoshop" or they "didn't photoshop the picture" then that means they took the picture properly with the camera, and they didn't need to manipulate it.

I NEVER use Photoshop.  I have no need for it.  I use both film and digital cameras (though mostly film).  Once in a while, I might use a basic image editing program to very slightly adjust color or contrast, but I prefer not to.  With most of my pictures I don't use any editing.
