What does popularity mean to you?

What do you think it takes to be popular?

Are you popular?

Or do you wish you was popular?

What type of crowd are you in in your school?

Are you in high-school, middle school?

Popularity isn't something you can actively cultivate. You can't pretend to be something you're not, with the ulterior motive of being popular. Not if you expect to develop genuine friendships. A true friend is someone who accepts you for what you are, not what you pretend to be. A true friend will never take advantage of you or your friendship. But you have be true to yourself first.  And if you expect to have real friends, then you have to be a real friend too.

Popular? Not really. I have a small group of select, real friends. But then again, I don't worry about it.

And since I'm long since out of school, the last question doesn't apply.

Im in high school.

The people I generally hang around with are niether popular or unpopular, though there is a few who are disliked by popular people for no apparant reason the popular people are just like that and the popular people can be 'sneery' to people below their rank, but I dont care as they dont live as we do, we live not caring what others think and they do, so they are always putting on an act. Plus they are always upset as popular people tend to fall out with each other more. We dont have that stress we are quite close. We dont care that we arent as popular as them, we are just glad we arent unpopular.

Popularity to me;

- Having hundreds of friends of MySpace of whom you don't even know

- Thinking you live a Hollywood lifestyle

- Lieing that you can cob off with any person you wish, because you're so stuck up your own ar*se
