  1. Quasi means being similar to, but not the real thing. However, it is closer to the real thing than para. I haven't heard of the term quasi-logical, but it makes a lot of sense in the context of rhetoric. Even today, politicians must attempt to convince us that what they say is reasonable, sensible and logical. We have been settling for the quasi-logical (or "plausible,"  which I think is a good synonym) for a long time.  The real thing would either be unrecognizable or insufferably boring.


  2. Quasi is used to form adjectives and nouns that describe something as being in many ways like something else.Something that is logical seems reasonable or sensible in the circumstances.
