  1. La reconquista, kiddo

It's the battle started against the moors to reconquer spain through 721 until 1492 when the last moorish city Granada fell to the Catholics Kings.

    Historic period.

if you want more info wikipedia it

    Literally means the reconquerment

  2. el rey conquista

    the conquering king

EDIT okay i understood better as my answer is right but as well as answerer number 2 because you might have thought

    la reconquista.

  3. Yeah, Bambú got the name right, but "la reconquista" of today has absolutely nothing to do with Spain or the Moors, I'm afraid.

In the 1840s the US pulled a dirty sneak attack on Mexico and seized more that 1/3 of the country. (Two Republican "warrior" presidents Lincoln and US Grant called the invasion "immoral," "illegal" even a "war crime")

Later, Mexico's greatest President, Benito Juarez advised the Mexican people not to attack the US directly but over time to return to the stolen ancestral lands of the Mexican people and "retake" them by repopulating them with Mexicans. THAT is "la reconquista" amigos! (seems to be working out pretty well so far, I would have to say.......)

    ¡Viva Juarez!
