What does "2/5ths teacher" mean?

I just received a job posting for a 2/5ths English teacher. What does that mean? I'm assuming some sort of part time?

It's a teacher with a 40% teaching assignment (instead of teaching 5 periods you would teach 2).  Depending on the school district/state this generally means 40% of salary and benefits of a regular full-time position, though in some places part-time teachers are eligible for full benefits.  What this means for seniority and advancement on the salary schedule also depend on the school district/state.
