What does "56k Die" and/or "56k Warning" mean? And what does it refer to? Related to cars.

  1. 56k means 56000, die is to cease to exist and go and be judged, warning is some danger ahead.

    But really, I've been around cars for 30 years and have never heard of these terms.  My best guess, maybe a warning you are getting near your 60k miles of your timing belt...


  2. this is not a car reference. it is a computer reference. usually used in a online forum to say there are lots of pictures or info in this link, and a computer with a 56k connection would need a long time to down load the information hence "56k warning"

  3. is this a HONDA question ??? cause I've never seen this on a Honda/Acura and I've been driving them for over 28 yrs now...

    there is no 56,000 warning...there is a 60,000 mi service..timing belts have no warning...they need to be replaced at 80,000 miles like the MANUAL says.
