  4. anyone non arab ;)

  5. "Ajam (عجم) in Arabic literally means "one who is illiterate in a language", "silent" or "mute", and can refer to non-Arabs in general, or specifically Persians. In the former sense it is a neutral term meaning "stranger" or "foreign." In the latter sense it can be considered a racist, derogatory term by Arabs towards Persians; it has also been used as a part of a propaganda against Iranians by some Arab countries encouraging conflict with Iran.. Similar slurs were used against other peoples, as in the word abd, This term, literally "slave" in Arabic, is used as a slur against Blacks and persons of mixed African descent. Usage is consistent with the Arab institution of black slavery that lasted from approximately 900 to 1962."

It could be an innocent reference or an insult.

  6. Non-Arabs are Ajamis!

for example I am not an Arab so I am Ajam!

  7. عجم ('Ajam) means one who is not Arab.

Some diseased people are adding to the meaning to promote their racist views against the 'Arab.

Allaah uses the term 'Ajam in the Qur'aan in Surah ash-Shu'araa (198-199):

    وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلَى بَعْضِ الْأَعْجَمِينَ

    فَقَرَأَهُ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ

198: And if We had revealed it (this Qur'aan) unto any of the non-Arabs,

199: And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it.

So we can see here the word "'Ajm" refers directly to non-Arabs.

There is no virtue over the 'Ajm except that the 'Arab know the language and the Qur'aan is in Arabic. So this is the meaning of "the virtue of the Arab over the non-Arab" being in the linguistic sense alone and not in the sense of virtue of blood.

Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the 'Arab is the one whose tongue is Arabic! So the indian can be Arab due to his tongue being Arabic. This is why you find many of the greatest Arabic linguists were non-Arab by blood! Such as as-Seebawayh!

But the racists here are trying to make it seem otherwise.

And this is the reason that the Ulemaa have said that the 'Arab are better than the non-Arab due to their understanding of the language:

And al-Qurtubee (from Cordoba, Spain) said in his Tafseer (1/141):

    أفضل من العجم

((They are better than the 'Ajam))

    and:

    أفضل من غيرهم

((Better than other than them)) (4/263 of Tafseer al Qurtubee)

However there is no excuse for the non-Arab because learning Arabic takes precedence because one has to learn Arabic in order to understand the Qur'aan. Otherwise you'll end up like these Racist kids here who dont know how to translate the Qur'aan and understand it so due to this inadequacy they just take to insulting those who know the Arabic language.

Just look at the Sahaabah... the Prophet salallaahu alaihi wa salam praised all of them, whether they were 'arab or not!!

Verily there is no virtue of an Arab over the non-Arab except by Taqwa!!

Allaah’s Messenger (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said: “Indeed there is no excellence for an arab over a non-arab, nor for a non-arab over on arab, nor for a white person over a black one, nor for a black person over a white one, except through taqwaa (piety and obedience to Allaah). The people are from Aadam, and Aadam was from earth.” Saheeh: Related by Ahmad (5/411). It was authenticated by Ibn Taymiyyah in Kitaabul-Iqtidaa‘ (p. 69)

Ibn Taymiyyah has a treatise called: "The definition of an Arab"
