What does "Arbeiten" mean? I believe its German...?

Ive been curious about this for a while, if anybody would be willing to answer this for me id appreciate it.

  5. It is German for "to work". If you are into history and have seen the Auschwitz death camp, you might remember the sign posted at the entrance which said, "Arbeit macht frei" which means "Work makes you free". It is sad but true.
