Looking at real estate listing. it says "Corporate Addendum Required With Accepted Agreement." What does this mean?

  1. All REO properties are sold "as is with the seller to make no repairs." Usually the seller has a corporate addendum with "as is" clauses that the buyer must sign as part of the sales contract. Most REO properties have been acquired by the selling corporation (seller) through foreclosure. These properties may have been neglected during the foreclosure process.


  2. It is simply an addendum that the lender will require once there is an accepted offer.  The ones I have seen are basically stating that you cannot sue the lender for condition issues, misrepresenting the property, that you had the opportunity to inspect the property, etc., etc..  The most recent one I sold had 10 pages of legal-speak

    All REO's have required addendums, this is standard.
