  1. Do your best or Good luck in Japanese.

  2. Well, "Ganbatte kudasai" and "shinken desu" doesn't seem to really go together, but anyway,

    Ganbatte kudasai = Hope you do well! Please keep up the good work!

    Shinken desu = I'm serious (in a earnest way).

    * edit - @Rotbuche haha ok you're right. I thought there was an "n" there hehe. Yeah "Shiken desu" is "It's an examination" =P

    Although it still sounds awkward.... Might sound better if it's the other way round, i.e. "Shiken desu. Ganbatte Kudasai!"

  3. Ganbatte kudasai = 頑張って下さい。Good luck.

    Shiken desu = 試験です。It's the examination.

    Somebody has wished you good luck for an examination.

    @Imperio Alma

    Shinken = 真剣 means serious, but in the question there was written shiken not shiNken.
