  4. Here's a little explanation:

Our current world is dying because of global warming (ice caps!), which leads to extinctions, including that of polar bears. So, going green really means helping the harsh environment.

  9. I think that "Going Green" is best defined as seeking to do everything in a sustainable way.

For sustainability to mean anything to me is all about our children and our grandchildren/later generations in the end.

Wikipedia defines it as: "Sustainability is a characteristic of a process or state that can be maintained at a certain level indefinitely.

I would prefer to define it as leaving things in a way that will give future generations the opportunity to enjoy life in the way we do.

This is similar to Bruntland's definition:

"In the Brundtland Commission, sustainable development was defined as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”

That to me is this the reason to do "green" things, and I only act on things which are called green to further that aim.

If we pollute the earth, use up all earth's resources, or make living more difficult by climate change we are not being "green", or sustainable in what we do.

    Does that help?

  10. Going green to me means starting at a point or place in time to make the earth a cleaner and/or better place to live.
