I heard my friend say this over and over again. I don't even know what language it's in (and neither did she). But "ish ga dooben dien" was what it dounded like.

  1. That mean one will die for love or if you fall in love with someone, you may lose lots of opportunities....

  2. "Ich" means "I" in German. I would find someone who speaks German and ask them. and Yiddish is based on German, so if you can't find any German-speakers, see if you can find some Yiddish-speakers. Good luck.

  3. hmm i have no idea....

    dien means "this" in dutch

  4. It sound like German and may be 'Ich gehe du beneiden.' which means, literally 'I give you envy' or, more colloquially 'You envy me.'

Could this fit in with your friend's attitude?

Alternatively, depending on your friend's correct pronunciation it could be 'Ich gehe du dien.' which means 'I give you service.' or 'I serve you.' In the UK The Prince of Wales' crest bears the words 'Ich dien' meaning 'I serve'.
