  1. Idopathic is a medical term meaning "no known cause" for a disease or symptom.

Dystonia is abnormal muscle tone. This is one of the many symptoms of Parkinson's Disease. Many psychiatric drugs can also have adverse side effects that are similar to Parkinson's because of their effect on the central nervous system. Abnormal muscle tone is one, a shuffling gait is another.

BENZTROPINE is a drug used to treat Parkinson's, or rather to help reduce some of the symptoms of rigid muscles. It is also used to treat these same symptoms that are caused by anti-psychotic drugs. This possibly means that the psychiatrist has given you one drug which has given bad side effects so he has given you another drug to counter the bad effects.

I don't know what your condition is but as you are only 14 perhaps your mother might like to take you to see a natural practitioner such as a herbalist who might be able to work in with your psychiatrist to help you and at the same time reduce the drugs (with professional guidance).

  2. you could have googled "idiopathic" too, you idio-idiot.

  3. this word means that we  still could not find any cause and reason(pathogenicity) for it and in this condition we have symptomatic therapy.
