What does "In Transit" mean with the UPS?

I'm waiting for my cell phone and it said delivery date 02/18 and when i went to go track my package it said its in transit, what does that mean, will i get it today or will i have to wait.

It's in a truck somewhere in between cities, not about to get delivered to you. When they have it in a truck coming out to your house, the message says "out for delivery".

That means it's in the truck - you should get it today.
