The phrase "NTLDR is missing" appears every time I switch on my computer. What does this one mean? What can I do about this one?

  1. It means that whatever disk you're trying to boot from isn't bootable.

Maybe it got corrupt, or maybe it isn't supposed to be a boot disk at all...

  2. NTLDR is the NT Loader. It's the boot file for Windows NT, 2000, XP and Vista.

If you're seeing that message it means that the file has somehow been deleted or corrupted.

Generally when I have seen that error, it's because the hard drive has started to die. You can still get files off the drive (assuming that you haven't encrypted them) by hooking it up to a working machine as a second drive. (Or you could use a USB-SATA/IDE [depending on what interface the drive has] convertor)

I would suggest that you do this ASAP. If the drive has started corrupting your files you want to get your data off before it dies completely.

  3. you have deleted the ntldr. A sytem file which is hidden in root drive where you installed windows xp.. Usually at C:\

  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTLDR

Probably.  If all that is messed up is the boot sector.
