Does it mean I can't have checked baggage or that they don't have a checking station or what?

This is for the Amtrak, by the way. :) A train.

  1. I am not sure, but I would assume that during certain train routes they do not allow you to check your baggage in between certain hours.  I would bet it is either because the trains are very busy during those hours (with commuters) or they are very slow, therefore they do not have a large number of staff on those trains.

  2. That's not familiar to me.

Which train are you taking?  That might help to make sense of it...

  3. I think you need to contact them and ask.  Speculation leads to misunderstandings and mistakes, so I would ask them.
