What does "Wireless not included" mean?

I'm bidding on a laptop on ebay and the description said "Wireless: NOT INSTALLED"

what does that mean?

  1. self explanitory of the item you are bidding. one thing you can do is get that part number of model number of the item and google it and see what specs it has.


  2. It probably means that there is no wireless adapter.  So if you want to connect to the internet wirelessly, you'll have to buy an adapter separately.

  3. not installed or included? as these are two different things

    installed means its there but maybe missing drivers

    not installed would be not built into the machine but maybe it comes with the PCMCIA card

    i would ask the seller he'd know for sure afterall he is selling it...

    but the cards are cheap if you need to buy one

    they usually sell for 2-50 bux depending on brand and age and quaility
