What is a "taco al carbon", or "fajitas al carbon y camarones grandes"?

  1. "al carbon"--grilling over charcoal--is a great specialty of northern Mexico.  


  2. el carbon means the coal, so basically it's food that is cooked over open flames. grilled fajitas with large shrimp

  3. It means charcoal, food cooked on the charcoal grill. Th meaning is grilled tacos, i'm sure like the thin cut grilled steak, and grilled large shrimp fajitas.

  4. It means that the meat has been grilled.

  5. Some Mexican restuarants will bring your order of say fajitas and shrmp out to your table on a little hibachi grill with mesquite charcoal sizzling the meat right at your table. Talk about hot off the grill!!!!!!!
