  1. The only way to become a child of God, is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead.  If someone doesn't believe that, then they aren't a child of God.  They can become a child of God at any moment by believing this about Jesus.

    pop Christianity usually has you believe that the unsaved are God's children too.
