What does "assah lamma lay kum maida" translate to?

  2. the exact translation is  "Peace be upon you"  

    It is our muslim greeting - Assalamu alaykum.

    The reply is  walaikum as-salam = and may peace be upon you too.  

    Mike Tyson is a muslim, he converted to islam several years ago.

    It is also used at the end of the muslim prayer, when we end our prayer we turn our head to the right, and say it and then to the left and say it. This part of the prayer is called al-tasleem.  It marks the end of the prayer.

    salam = peace

    alaykum = upon you
