What does "fell warm and fuzzy" and/or "fell warm and special" mean?

Mostly curious about the meaning of the word "warm" in both phrases.

I believe that you mean "feel warm and fuzzy" which translates into being extremely comfortable, cozy, or happy and content in the situation that you find yourself in at that time.

Who wants to be hot or cold, physically speaking?  Warmth equates with comfort.  "Feeling warm and fuzzy" describes a feeling of well-being, as if wrapped in a cuddly blanket of love and happiness.
