Does it mean scholarships, grants, or loans? I'm not interested in a loan but I never knew what it really meant exactly.

  1. If you mean what you get from your financial aid office after applying to fafsa, then it is just grants and loans. Scholarships you have to apply seperately alongside the fafsa. I would recommend not getting loans if you are at a community college if you can help it. In otherwords if you get enough grants to pay for tuition or you can do it out of pocket dont get loans until you go to a 4-year insititution.

  2. financial aid is a company that loans u money to pay somthing u need to pay lol

  3. Financial aid is all of those: scholarships, grants, and loans.  It is a blanket term for any money you receive to help pay for your education.

  4. "Financial aid" is a general term that includes scholarships, grants, and loans.  If you are only interested in a scholarship, then only apply for those.
