What does "gravid" mean?

if someone tells you that a snake is not "gravid" does it mean they will never lay a clutch or that they are not breeding currently

it just means that your snake isn't pregnant or is too young to be. it'll be fine

Gravid generally refers to being full of eggs (or in mamals, a uterus full of foetus), If she's not gravid, it means that right now there aren't eggs there. She may be immature, or it might not be the right season, or there might not be enough food or any number of reasons, but it does not mean that she will be permanently infertile.
