  1. in english i donno

i know that ich means I in german :)

iam interested too to know the answer

  2. It is not a word and it is slang, but it means "around" or "about." For example "2 ish" means "around 2."

  3. It mean like "kinda"

Like, if somethings kinda blue, but not exactly blue, you would say it was "blueish."

    ---

The suffix -ish usually indicates approximation:

'The burglar's coat was greenish. No yellowish. No greenish yellow. Oh I don't know, it was dark!'

'I might be running late this evening, but I'll see you around six-ish.'

  4. well depends on how you use it. if u use it the way your friends use it it means just about like it a transltion of what bout 2 ish? would be How about around 2.  but if someone says ishy or ish just by its self it mens gross

  5. Kind of

    Sort of

    about

    similar to

    like

  6. ish, in the USA means approximately. If I tell you I'll be there at 2 then I am commited to an exact time... If I say 2ish, that means around 2 oclock, more or less, but not exactly. That gives me a little room for movement so you can't get upset if I'm a little bit late. If I say round-ish, that means almost round but not perfectly round. Same way with colors,  Like redish blue would be a blue color with a slight tint of red.

  7. Usually when something is -ish, it is like a comparison, or an estimate. the two-ish means about two or so.

Example: Your mom asks "How many hotdogs you want for lunch?", you would say "Five-ish or so."  that means that you want probably five hotdogs for lunch.

  8. ish means around or approximately.Like when she says 2 ish it means around 2 o'clock.Does that make sense?

  9. It means "kind of/sort of". so 2ish would be around 2 o clock.

Example: my cat is brownish. (my cat is kind of brown or a type of brown color)

    hope that helps!

  10. 'ish' means around, nearby, sort of, to some degree

E.g. 'What about two-ish?" means "What about around two (to meet)?"

"He had a round-ish head" - "His head was sort of round."

We use 'ish' the same way your friend does. We also use it to mean 'OK'

    "How are you feeling?" "Ish."

    "How was the film?" "Ish."

But that's not proper English, that's us being lazy illeterate teens.

  11. "ish" is used when someone is estimating or generalizing something. Say for instance you are looking at a shirt that is somewhat orange but somewhat yellow you may describe it as "orange-ish!" or "yellow-ish orange!" Stupid example- but whatever.

SO if you friend said that he/she was going to meet you at "2ish" they probably won't be there exactly at 2.

I hope that this was helpful-ish.

  12. "ish" (adverb, colloquial, from the suffix '-ish') : 'about', 'approximately', 'somewhat', 'reasonably', 'fairly'

  13. I think "ish" is kind of like, "sort of" or "kind of"

2 ish = near two or close to 2

A metalish  kind if music = kind of like metal music or resembles that kind of music.

Granted its not proper, but it seems to be used rather often now a days.

  14. like when u want to say "about" or sort of or kind of

for the example u gave she means "around" or about that time. say from 2 till 2:15

u can also say it like this : grayish as in it is sort of gray, has a gray color but not completely plain gray.

    hope that helps.

  15. like around or close to . you can use it like that or if theres a color for example and its kind of blue and kind of green it can be blueish green
