What does "making out" REALLY mean?

So my friend and I are in a disagreement over what making out really means.

I think it means kissing for a long period of time. Intense kissing.

She thinks it means you kiss AND go below the belt. Not s*x, but I think you catch my drift.

Who is really right in this arguement?

anyways, it is true that making out ia like typically involves kissing, long kissing will do, passionate kissing or french kissing, intimate contact, including heavy petting, skin to skin contact, or other forms of FOREPLAY.

btw, foreplay is like methods of satisfaction the persons involve or stimulating each other. meaning before s*x, you will undergo of foreplay first.. then if you both satisfied for what you'r doing  then....there you go....... you what i mean.

i could say that you'r correct and your friend is 50/50 correct too or might be true also if shes really not talking about the real thing (the s*x) .
