What does "mex" mean?

Question

Whenever my friends send me text messages they reply with the word "mex" at the end. Does anyone know what it means lol? I assume its some kinda text language for something?

Maybe it isn't "MEX" but "ME, X" as in the text message was from "me" and a kiss "x" at the end
