Question:

What does "not black enough" mean?

What does it mean? White people I knew have told me that and I still think it's offensive. Does being a mixed-race African-American have to do with it?

Race has nothing to do with how a person acts, behaves or carries himself.

  1. No such thing. There is not an archetype of what constitutes "blackness." Whoever said that is ignorant.

  2. black americans use it, well some, usually the dumb uneducated ones to claim that some one is not ghetto, as if blacks should automatically be ghetto like them.

  3. It means you dont perpetuate the stereotype enough.
