  1. lol u r a n00b

  2. Stemming from the misspelling of the word "owns"

Dude, he pwns you at Halo.

He pwns all of you at basketball.

I pwn your sister... all night long.

  3. Owns. It comes from people who misstyped and put a P instead of an O. Because this was a common mistake, people started using the P on purpose, just because they thought it was cool.

This all came from gamers, who frequently use the word owned, or pwned, when they beat someone at an online game. Like, instead of saying "I beat you" they say "I owned you" or "I pwned you".

  4. owns ... somewhere along the line someone typoed it and it stuck

  5. haha... thats funny. this n00b doesnt know what pwn is. its mistyped own. but seriously that was a good question.

  6. The verb to pwn (past tense: pwned, pwnd, pwn'd, pwnt, pooned) as used by the Internet gaming subculture, means to beat or dominate an opponent. While it probably originated as a typing error of the word own, it is now used intentionally by many members of the subculture. The term has become so ubiquitous in Internet circles that it is often used outside of gaming contexts; for example, "He just got pwned in that debate" or "The hunters pwned that bear."

If tis is what you mean by pwns, next time give it a google
