Coach Tomlin of the the Pittsburgh Steelers recently said"the only way to get there (to the Superbowl) is on a "string of Nails". What does that mean? I've never heard anyone say that before.

  1. By stringing together a line of wins in a row.... like a row of nails is strung together. like the nfl commercial says they can not worry about the Super Bowl that is so far away, they can only focus on the next play, the next snap, the next practice, the next game, etc. and hope that they string together enough talent and wins to get thier.

  2. He was referring to his loser team being strung out on crack.

To summarize:  The Steelers suck.  They really, really suck.

If you didn't believe me last season, wait for this season.

    LOL.

  3. It might have meant that they will have to fight 'tooth and nail' in every game, but I think he meant every game will be a 'nailbiter'.  In other words, they won't have any runaway victories, they will have to fight for 4 full quarters.
