  1. Mathematically, T is time, minus whatever amount of time is left until the event happens.  So, "T minus 2 days" means that there are 2 days remaining before whatever event it refers to.  Like, if a space shuttle will take off in "T minus 10 seconds", it just means there are 10 seconds until launch.

  2. I believe Mike P is correct.  That's generally how I've heard the phrase used.  However, I've also seen "t" entered into a database field to mean today.  "T-2" would mean two days ago, not two days until an event.

  3. Means it is 2 days before whatever important day t represents (like a wedding, or school starting, etc.)

Military uses this as well.  Modern use of it comes from the military, most popularly D-Day.  Some military records and documentaries will refer to days in relation of the invasion of Normandy as D minus 1 day or D plus 3 days.  Military used this system a lot to label important moments, for instance the end of World War II was called V Day.

  4. T means an event/action that is happening minus the amount of time till.

So its two days till what action/event is going to take place.

  5. t minus as in t minus 2 secs means that event will happen in two secs
