What does "territory integrity" mean ?

I'm not a native speaker of English.

Listening the news about Russia and Georgia on the web radio,

I can hear the word "territory integrity" frequently.

What does this word mean???

(Of course I know "territory" and "integrity" separately...

but I don't understand the combination of them.)

Mainly, it means keeping the national borders as they are.

Not altering them, for example by breaking a chunk of Georgia off to make a new independent state.
