  1. example: You ask your friend if she wants to go to the mall and ogle the boys. A look, meaning are you kidding? Body language, like a noncommittal shrug. A verbal, like, "eh." Each gesture, or a combination of all three, says she's not really interested.

It's hard to explain but you should be able to pick up on looks and body language when things are said without being said.

  2. It may be more subtle than just making your viewpoint known through a gesture or look.  It indicates something more along the lines of "reading between the lines."

You can say something without actually SAYING something by carefully choosing your words and tone.

For instance, someone might hear that you are going to a movie with friends.  They might SAY, "Sounds like fun," but what they MEAN is, "I want to come too."  The way that they say it suggests to the listener what they really mean, and the listener is left to interpret and act upon that subtle undertone.

This is the way many double entendres are made.  Someone says something that sounds perfectly innocent, but their tone of voice and body language turn it into a suggestion of something not so innocent.

  3. Lol, I'll give you an example.

The other day my sister was crying about how fuc k ed up her teeth got without retainers. She showed me them & I just said "oh my god". Cause when I saw them I saw how they really did move a lot. Anyways, she said  what ? & I was like nothing. LOL so yeah you get the idea ?

  4. It's like Humphrey Bogart once said in one of his movies...

"I never knew a dame that didn't understand a slap in the mouth or a slug from a .45."

  5. Not every thing has to be stated clearly in so many words ,you spill food on mom's spotless table cloth, she refrains from screaming but shoots you a look that says ,"did you have to do that ! "

Not a words was said , one needs to be very perceptive to get the message .

  6. It means that silence is a powerful weapon and your own mouth is ur worst enemy so be careful what you say because sometimes saying nothing sends a message more. Try is, when you argue with someone instead of yelling back at them stay quiet and see what happens, its very interesting.
